I’ve always been a waffle lover. There’s just something about that airy crispy texture that gets me every time. This buttermilk waffle recipe is delightfully crisp around the edges and is soft and tender on the inside. They are oh so yummy! You get the flavors of butter and vanilla in every bite.

When it comes to waffles, crispiness is everything to me. I don’t want my waffle to taste like a pancake, that’s not what I ordered……… I want my waffle to taste like a waffle, golden brown on the outside, light and airy on the inside. Well, this Buttermilk Waffel recipe is spot on. It kind of reminds me of hotel waffles. You know, the ones you get to make all by your self as part of the hotel’s complimentary breakfast. Don’t judge, I actually like hotel waffles and the kids absolutely love the fact that they are cooking their own waffles from start to finish. You can enjoy these waffles with maple syrup and butter or fresh strawberries with whipped cream! They are totally customizable.

Helpful Tips:  Waffles are best enjoyed the same day. Refrigerate any extras for a couple days. Waffles can be frozen up to 3 months, then warmed in the toaster.
